christopher west presents and is pleased to announce An Element of Truth by Jeffrey Roy Geesa.
For his first solo exhibition at christopher west presents, Jeffrey Roy Geesa will utilize painting, installation and video based artwork to convey the idea that “Truth often resembles nonsense, and nonsense often resembles truth.” Though the individual works may express contingent ideas, the work is predominately about complexity, confusion, and the embrace of such. In a knowingly vain attempt, Geesa will try to avoid hypocrisy by stating now that he doesn’t know with any useful degree of certainty what he claims to know. Given that, the work is definitely about the acknowledgment of the inevitability of one’s ignorance and dismissal of assumption.
